Digital Marketing Analysis – Gifted with the Analyst Bug

My grandfather was a lot of things. He was a PFC for the U.S. Army in WWII and was shot. He moved to the mechanized units and quickly found himself solving problems on the airfields as an inventor for the USAF, developing 7 different inventions for safety and integrity of the B series bombers over his 12 year career as consultant for them. He also owned a mechanic’s shop and was a rancher when he retired.

The man could fix, maintain, and invent anything. He was a troubleshooting master. Driven by common sense and shaped by the need to survive, he was an engineering guru. I was his sponge.

From a very early age, I would spend my days with my grandpa learning how to fix everything under the sun. He would teach me lessons like “You pay for what you get” and “the shop’s not closed until the workbench is clear” along with all the nuances and quirks he had that results in a person leaving no stone unturned.

We share the same curse and blessing as well, we love helping people, even to the detriment of ourselves. We both loved solving problems, our own and other peoples. Helping out.

These traits and my knowledge and background in digital marketing and analytics are key pieces to how I am able to dissect a client’s needs apart and make a plan to hit the mark.

I love it, trust me, I think about him everyday and all the time when I work. It creates a standard that you can’t meet until you leave this place. I call it the Nose to the Grindstone effect, and I apply it whether I am working or making my bed.

No stone left unturned, no belly left unfed. We meet marks, we win the day, one clawing of the hand and one dragging of the foot forward at a time if necessary.
